Comparing ourselves to others can be an easy trap to fall into. It becomes especially difficult when we are bombarded with images on TV and social media of seemingly perfect people with perfect lives. Comparing yourself to others will put you in a situation that you cannot win. There will always be someone out there that you perceive as doing better than you, and comparisons like this will only do more harm than good. Instead, focus on what you have accomplished. Celebrate yourself, and look forward to what you want to accomplish in the future. Giving yourself positive affirmations, and realistic goals is a key to positive self-image.

Three – Surround Yourself with Supportive People

It is important to surround yourself with other people who have positive attitudes towards themselves, and you. It is much easier to believe in yourself and your abilities when you have others around you cheering you on. This will also help make it easier for you to be positive to others as well. This is why it is important for your self-image to avoid people who are negative towards you and themselves.

Four – Invest in Yourself

Getting a good night’s sleep, eating healthy, and getting exercise are great investments in yourself that will not let you down. These three activities are simple enough that they can be worked into your weekly routine easily, and you will find that by adding these into your life you will see the benefits right away.

Another way you can invest in yourself is to buy a new outfit or accessories. Purchasing new items will make you feel good, and when we feel good, we are naturally more confident in ourselves. Doing things you enjoy will boost your self-image, and also create happiness.

If you utilize these habits on regular basis, soon you’ll realize you’ve improved your self-image.

Once you’ve got the hang of how to raise your self-image, you are ready to go out there and take over the world! Smile, hold your head high, and tackle each challenge that comes your way with style.
